1. Introduction

Tlhagiso is a security application developed to protect users from malware and phishing URLs. Your privacy is important to us.

2. Data Collection

Tlhagiso does NOT collect, store, or share any personal data.

The app only:

URLs: URLs are sent to our ML API for phishing detection only when you manually scan
Scan History: Stored locally on your device only (not on any server)

Data sent to the API is processed immediately and never saved.

3. Permissions

Internet: Required for real-time scanning via our secure API
Network State: Required to check internet connectivity

4. Data Storage

All scan history is stored locally on your device using Android's Room Database. No data is uploaded to any external server except for the content you choose to scan via our API.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Vercel to host our ML API and other APIs. No personal data is stored or shared. Only the text/URL you scan is processed and immediately discarded.

6. Data Deletion

We do not store your data on our servers, so there is nothing to delete. Your scan history is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app will delete your local history.
